We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Supply Chain Intern to join our team at FLANDERS. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that drive operational excellence within our facility. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will work closely with our experienced team members to support various aspects of the manufacturing and supply chain process and gain valuable insights into the operations of a dynamic business.
This is an 8-week on-site internship opportunity at our Evansville, IN facility.
Responsibilities:
Project Scope: This project focuses on Master Data Management (MDM) and Tool creation in our ERP system. You will complete a full review and correction of the Master Data Management of procured data categorizing commodities, product types, and ensuring complete data. Develop a scorecard to show overall MDM health within the organization. Use scorecard to ensure data is complete and accurate. Build a Dashboard showing historical spend by commodity, vendor, and location to empower decision making.
- Project Support: Collaborate with team members in the planning, execution, and completion of your assigned project.
- Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data related to your project and present this data to support your decision-making process throughout the project.
- Process Improvement: Contribute ideas and solutions to streamline the processes associated with your assigned project, reducing waste and enhancing overall productivity.
- Documentation: Create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to support the implementation and sustainability of your project.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain, to coordinate project activities and achieve project objectives.
- Learning and Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of supply chain processes, technologies, and industry best practices.
